I grew up in a very musical family with my dad being a retired professional drummer, mom a country vocalist, sister a multi-instrumentalist and songwriter, and brother a singer/ actor. Because of this I grew up surrounded by a plethora of genres. This led me to singing Demi Lovato, Carrie Underwood, Superchick, and Eva Cassidy all around the house. My parents' first date was watching Jekyll and Hyde with one of my biggest vocal inspirations, Linda Eder, and they made it their goal to instill Musical Theatre into my life. From there, my interest began to grow with my first audition as "The Rose" in Alice in Wonderland in which I threw up everywhere. Suffice to say that 8-year-old Berri did not book the job (their loss).

Even with this audition experience I became even more passionate about Musical Theatre and telling stories on stage. If you were lucky you would've caught me singing "Popular" to my Build-A-Bear in my first grade talent show and painting myself green and singing "The Wizard and I" two years later. If you were REALLY lucky you would've caught me dancing and singing a reimagined solo as both Demeter and Bombalurina in "Macavity." Jokes aside I started working on a multitude of projects around the Tyler area and eventually branched out to the Dallas and Fort Worth areas at Casa Mañana and Granbury Theatre Company. Additionally, I fell in love with choral music and went to All State Solo and Ensemble Competitions all four years of High School. Through this, I became confident in my sight-reading abilities specifically utilizing solfège which benefitted me in college and beyond.

This led me to pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre at the University of Southern California where I graduated in May of 2024 as a James and Nony Doolittle Award recipient. While at USC, I took a strong interest in vocal pedagogy and was mentored by Dr. Melissa Treinkman. Under her guidance, I participated in the National Association of Teachers of Singing Inc's (NATS) 2024 Musical Theatre Competition and received the Florence Birdwell Award for first prize. Additionally, I was grateful to be casted in a range of roles such as Margaret White in Carrie, Lindsay (Bless The Lord) in Godspell, and a pig in Pippin. With USC’s emphasis in taking advantage of the incredible departments outside of the Dramatic Arts, I started exploring my artistry in other mediums such as voiceover, film acting, guitar, and reinvigorated my love for piano (which I've been learning for over 10 years).

My mission is to be a part of meaningful art and storytelling as I strongly believe in being a part of something bigger than myself.
